About this event
With over 2 million employed within the creative industry, we know that 95% are working in micro businesses (<10 people) or self-employed. Post Covid and Brexit it is these independents and niche organisations who will be the quickest to adapt, respond to opportunities and will lead the creative industry fightback. Yet these people and organisations are not well mapped - they are not favoured by Google or social media websites, often relying on signposting and recommendations, making it difficult for them to grow beyond their local communities. With today's technology, this is not acceptable!
We will talk through how we are working with educators, creative groups, professional bodies and local authorities to build a complete creative ecosystem, making it really easy to find everyone and everything through a single gateway. We are independent, self-financed, and just getting going ourselves. Frustrated that the government has failed to help freelance and grassroot creatives, we decided to do something about it and will apply our punk ethos to take on California tech!
