About this event
In 2012 I put family first and moved from East London to Frome in Somerset to look for a big change of lifestyle. At the time, I was about to be the only person at Rosie Lee not working full time from our London office. I had no firm idea of how the logistics were going to work but knew we would be able to figure it out somehow.
Officially opening our Frome office in 2015 saw us go on to open further offices in Amsterdam and New York using the remote systems and tools we had developed through my move. Now, 7 years on, our whole organisation works effortlessly and flexibly as a distributed team across the globe.
From a small shared office in Frome we've developed a new concession model for online retail, designed and produced Marathon coaching for Nike's Run Club training app, designed an interactive Sports Laboratory on a truck in Shanghai and appeared on the front page of Vogue's website.
During my session I'll share some of these case studies along with insights and learnings about working on global projects from a town in Somerset.
