Bath Digital Festival isn’t just for techies (though we do love a good old geek session). Our events cater to all digital enthusiasts from every background and level of know-how.

For this post, we want to discuss some of our events best suited to tech beginners. Here are our top picks for parents, kids and self-confessed newbies. (If you’re none of these, check out our techie section, full of more awesome stuff.)

Beyond Satire: Cartooning as a force for good: Tuesday 23rd October 

How can we express ourselves online, in a relaxed, friendly manner? Come and meet the brilliant Tom Morris, Editor at Draws for Thought - discover a new authentic, natural and interesting approach to the humble doodle.

Coding for kids: Saturday 27th October 

Learn how to make an interactive Halloween emoji using HTML, javascript and online software development tools. Turn a cat, witch, pumpkin.... Or just about anything into your own personal emoji. You can’t get cooler than that.

Register for the morning session (10am - 12pm) or the afternoon session (3pm - 5pm)

The Drone Experience: Saturday 27th October (1pm - 2pm) 

Listen to a talk about the benefits of drones, learn the rules and regulations around flying a drone and see a drone in flight! You'll also get the chance to put your questions to the drone experts. This event is subject to weather on the day (fingers crossed for sunshine).
